King Story, practically forgotten shortly after it garnered some attention during the Tokyo Game Show last fall, finally gets some media love here, with new details and images coming via Famitsu.

There are eight different lands in King Story, which have a bit of tension between them.? Players take control of — you guessed it — a young king and try to get one particular community to work towards certain goals.? Among these is rallying a bunch of troops to go fight the big dragon in the top-middle screenshot.? There is a day-night cycle in the game, which it is said might impose setbacks in jobs the citizens are doing; for example, they might have to stop building a bridge when the sun goes down.? This sounda a lot like a simulatio game rather than RPG, but it’s still being classified as part RPG, so we’ll keep an eye on it.

King Story for Nintendo Wii will be released this summer in Japan.
