Mythic guys do damage control

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning producers Jeff Hickman and Jeff Skalski attempted to calm the waves in the WAR community via letters to the players. The news of huge layoffs at Mythic was cause for concern among many MMORPGamers; clearly, in any such event, a game’s future may hang in the balance. Hickman said,

Warhammer Online free trial now endless

Mythic Entertainment has announced that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR), has replaced its 10-day time-limited free trial with a new, endless free trial program, now available for download.

Warhammer Online: two new classes this winter

Originally planned and later removed to meet their release deadline, Mythic Entertainment today announced that two “new” careers, the Empire’s Knight of the Blazing Sun and the Dark Elf Black Guard, will be added to the newly released, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning in content patch 1.1 later this winter.

Warhammer Online release date set

After three years in development and a few delays, the worldwide launch date of Warhammer Online has been set for September 18.  EA Mythic will launch the game’s North American, European, and Oceanic servers simultaneously.
