PSP = Not Worth Licensing Fees, PS4/Xbox One = Apparently Worth It

By Heath | June 21, 2014 at 9:42 am

Welp, since PS4 and Xbox One are getting an HD version of Final Fantasy Type-0, and this will be localized, I suppose it’s time to update my article on the music rights.

Indeed. The cost of localization (which would include fees for licensing that music) would not have been made back with a PSP and/or Vita game in North America, but Square Enix feels it can make back that dough with a console outing. Not surprising.

I can’t even fucking believe this

Dragon Quest VIII Mobile Port Localized, Still Awful

By Heath | June 1, 2014 at 2:01 am

Remember this crap? The awful-looking mobile port of Dragon Quest VIII? Well now it’s now available on international iOS stores, and way overpriced.

Showing a gift for salesmanship as much as a gift for making shitty ports, Square Enix had this to say:

– Save your game often.
– When suspending play, please make sure to close the app completely via the recently used apps list.
– Frequent crashes can sometimes be remedied by restarting your device.

Not even joking. How about fix your products instead of just telling people to save often because of the glitches? So there’s that.
