Glory of Heracles, an RPG series primarily calling the Famicom (NES) and Super Famicom (SNES) its homes, will be seeing a new installment on the Nintendo DS after having skipped a couple of console generations.

The most “recent” Glory of Heracles game was released in the last quarter of 1994, and no games from this series have ever made it outside of Japan. Whether this new game, called Herakuresu no Eikou: Tamashii no Shoumei (which can be roughly translated as Glory of Heracles: The Soul’s Identity), will be any different is anyone’s guess. Though none of these games have left Japan, the times are a-changing, and with more RPGs crossing the ocean now than there were in 1994, the chance exists, however small. Till then, we’ll keep our eyes peeled.
