RPG Deals 3/21 – 3/27

K-Mart steps up to bat!  Will they get a hit?

Nope.  K-Mat proudly states that DS games are ‘buy 1 DS game, get a second DS game half-off’.  The second game must be of equal or lesser value, and unfortunately the fine print states only select games are available.  Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are featured right below this deal and do not seem to be exempt, but it may be up to the individual K-Mart.

K-Mart does have a few other deals: Mass Effect 2 for the 360 is $50.  Buying a copy of God of War III, Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles or Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 will net $30 off MAG, Uncharted 2, LittleBigPlanet GOTY, or Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time.  Not a lot of RPGs with the second deal, but it’s good for those who are interested in more than RPGs.

Five Below has $5 copies of Puzzle Quest for the PC.  In addition, I recently discovered six foot HDMI cables at the store.  They cables are version 1.3, for those concerned about that sort of thing.

Best Buy is offering Mass Effect 2 for the 360 at a $40 price.  They are also selling Modern Warfare 2 themed 1600 Live points for $18. Live points are Live points, and some retail stores sell them tax free.

Target is offering Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Mario and Luigi 3: Bowser’s Inside Story for $25 apiece.

Amazon is offering a ‘buy 2 360 Platinum Hits titles, get 1 free’ deal with equal or lesser value titles being the freebie.  Not all Platinum Hits are accessible, but Fable II, Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls IV are good to go.  Sunday’s Deal of the Day includes Ragnarok DS.

Play-Asia is taking pre-orders on the latest Super Robot Taisen game for the DS.  Not the breast-filled one; an actual one featuring robots.  I’ll be the first to admit an undying love for SRT games, and try to spread that love like an STD whenever possible.

I have a possible list for GameStop’s Game Day sale.  This is open to speculation, since some of these titles were from last year’s sale.

Again, this list is rumored.  I’ll update it when the sale starts.  Hopefully there will be some more decent games on the list.

Finally, there is an all-PS3 ‘Gold Box’ event at Amazon tomorrow.  There’s no clues as to what titles are going to be available until midnight Pacific time.  Check it out to see if White Knight Chronicles makes the list.

Until then, Happy Hunting.

Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has it before writing them off. You might be able to get a raincheck. A lot of these deals are in-store only, except where specified.
