Aika open beta now live

Those currently considering hopping into a new MMORPG can give Aika a whirl with an easy download of the open beta client. The game features content and progress up to level 50 and huge multiplayer PvP battles that are said to reach a max of 1,000 versus 1,000. Square Enix’s new iPhone RPG, Chaos Rings, unveiled

Today, Square Enix has revealed a brand new RPG, called Chaos Rings, for the iPhone. It’s a brand new IP, and has no release date or price as of yet, but does have a teaser site. The game is being developed by Media Vision, and includes Takehiro Andou producing, Yuusuke Naora designing the characters, Yukinori Kitajima taking the story, and Noriyasu Agematsu composing the music.

Japan gets Final Fantasy XIII image gallery app for iPhone

Today, Square Enix has released a Final Fantasy XIII app for the iPhone and iPod touch, in the Japanese iTunes store, called the “Final Fantasy XIII Larger-than-life Gallery.” It features “super high-quality” images from the character designs, promotional posters, and so forth that can be viewed in a gallery. Favorite pictures can also be converted into clock or calendar backgrounds. The gallery will set fans back 1000 yen.
